- Press F12 to hide the user interface.
- When you're jumping through the air you can press Alt + W to summon your wings (helps avoid fall damage).
- Salvage unnecessary equipment in your inventory by pressing the gavel icon in your bag (second from the right) and then clicking on the item. You'll earn raw materials used for crafting.
The Beginning Of Daily Quests
The first 20 levels of Revelation Online are essentially tutorial, guiding you through the basic of the game. Once you leave tutorial island though, you’ll unlock Daily Quests. You can access you daily menu by pressing “U.”
You want to complete whatever daily quests are available to you to earn massive amounts of experience along with tokens that can exchanged at specific vendors. As you level up you unlock more daily quests.
Dailies allotting experience include:
- Scour Dungeon (level 25)
- Requires you to kill 250 of a given mob for a ton of experience. Join a party to make the process go much faster. At level 40 you'll switch from the Sunken Galleon area to Oneiric Trials.
- Trial of the Four Kings (level 20)
- Tasks players with gauntlet-stylized challenges; beat each round to advance to the next. Certain levels require you to perform tasks other than just beating the enemy, such as dodging electric projectiles.
- Guardian Trials (level 35)
- A daily Raid where players must defeat multiple waves of enemies before spawning an enormous spider boss that must be defeated.
- Hot Springs (level 25)
- Passive experience earned by consuming food and drink. Depletes alcohol and food tolerance.
To keep up with the rat-race you must do your dailies.
The Hot Springs: AFK Leveling
The Hot Springs is an easy way to gain experience while you’re AFK.
Each day you accumulate 100 Appetite and 100 Alcohol Tolerance, allowing you to consume food and drinks that grant experience so long as you’re in the Hot Spring.
But you can only gain a maximum of 500 appetite and alcohol (5 days of Hot Spring experience). You can easily navigate to the Hot Springs by pressing U, and auto-pathing you’re way there. Outside of the Hot Springs is a vendor that will sell you food and drink for cash, or you can fish to trade fish for food and drink.
Fishing
Fishing is an easy way to buy the reagents you need in the Hot Spring. If you run to the back of the Hot Spring, across the bridge, you’ll find a small Racoon monster with a Willy Nelson braid hang down his back. Talk to him and he’ll sell you all the fishing supplies you need.
Easiest way to get started is to buy the “Newbie Fishing Set” treasure chest, from which you’’ find a Rod, a Hook, a Lure, and some Bait. You need to right-click on all of them to equip, except the bait. Right-click the bait to start fishing.
You can fish either manually or use quick fishing. If you choose to auto fish, you can walk away from the game while your character stockpiles slimy sardines, eels, and if you’re lucky, a treasure chest or two.
Keep in mind Fishing does use Life Skill points: Physique and Intellect.
Your Backpack
At some point during your time playing Revelation you will be overwhelmed by the number of items in your inventory. But you can expand you pack with up to six additional spots, though you'll have to earn them.
Unlocking additional slots requires backpack expanders, another item to throw in your bag. The warehouse maid will give you quests that reward expanders or you can purchase them from the nearest Ausgyth Commerce Center for Bronze Shards (There's an Ausgyth NPC in Sulan at 5499, -1362, at the top of the ziggurat).
Next to the inventory attendant you'll see a Backpack Shop where you can purchase six slot bags. You can also return to the Ausgyth NPC and buy an 18 slot bag, but not for cheap.
Stats
After level 20 you’ll begin to earn stat points which have to be applied to your character. No auto leveling here. You can choose to auto-distribute your points by choosing between three options: Overall, Attack, or Defense, which will auto add stats based on your preference.

If you want to manually add stats keep in mind that each class has stat priorities:
- Spitishaper: Spirit (Primary) / Intelligence (Secondary)
- Occultist: Dexterity (Primary) / Intelligence (Secondary)
- Swordmage: Intelligence (Primary) / Dexterity(Secondary)
- Vanguard: Physique (Primary) / Strength (Secondary)
- Gunslinger: Dexterity (Primary) / Strength (Secondary)
- Blademaster: Strength (Primary) / Dexterity (Secondary)
If you choose to experiement with your build, keep in mind that after level 49 you are stuck with whatever attributes you've chosen, unless you buy an item through the cash shop. Before level 50, you can use Novice Manual's of Potential to reset your attributes; they can be bought from any grocer for 100 Imperial Notes.
Skills
There are many skills to wield in Revelation Online, and from level 40 on you'll start to earn skill points to distribute between your skills, increasing their power. It's pretty simple to do.
Press 'K' to load you skill menu. From there you can press the '+' sign next to skills to increase their power. But remember doing so uses both skill points and Imperial Notes.
Path Milestones
By completing your main storyline quests you'll automatically unlock Path quests, which become available at every level ending with a '9' from level 29 and up.
Revelation Online Review
Every step in the path has a number of requirements that must be met before they can be unlocked. Luckily, you're first two are almost automatically handed to you by keeping up with your main quests. But from then, you'll need to meet special requirements, such as acquiring a certain number of skill points, or know a certain number of Special Skills.
And you want to unlock Path. They grant bonuses, increasing your character's stats and abilities.
Currencies
Revelation Online has four basic currencies, which is three more than most people are used to.
- Imperial Coins: the currency used when interacting with other players. You'll want plenty of Imperial Coins when heading to the auction house (CTRL + Y).
- Imperial Note: there also notes, which you will use to buy stuff from NPCs, such as the wine and food needed to gain experience in the Hot Springs. By completing your dailies and quests you should earn enough to stay on top of your normal activities.
- Aurum: here's your cash shop currency, only obtainable by exchanging cash on the Revelation Online website.
- Bronze Shards: also obtainable through the Cash Shop by buying particular badges, but you can also earn Bronze Shards by completing PvP quests and fulfilling your dailies under the Demonslayer tab. You use bronze shards at special vendors for a variety of materials and items.
Also, if you press 'C' and navigate to the Honor tab, you'll see three additional currencies: Imperial Society Merit, Bronze Shards, and Mentor Merits. Right-clicking any of the circular icons will navigate you to merchants where you can exchange said currency for items.
Special Skills
Skills attached to your function keys are called Special Skills. By completing your story quests (labeled in Orange) you'll obtain a couple, but as you level up you'll need to buy books for additional skills.
Press 'C' and navigate to the Order tab. From there you'll see the NPC name Borfen Zur, who stands around in Sidus Ur, but you can instantly teleport to him by pressing the squiggly arrow to use your Zip skill. From there you can buy skillbooks but make sure you check the level cap.
Two Star skills require you to be level 29 while you'll have to be at least level 49 before you can start using Three Star skills.
