Wyoming Downs Race Track
Wyoming Downs Racetrack is the largest and only privately owned racetrack in Wyoming. It’s located 10 miles north of Evanston on HWY 89. The combination of sheer excitement and family atmosphere, backed by one of Wyoming’s deepest and longest sporting traditions make it one of Wyoming’s most popular sport and entertainment destinations.

Review
Wyoming Downs is located off Highway 89 North, near the Utah border and just outside of Evanston,Wyoming. Eric Nelson repurchased the track at auction in 2011 and live racing will return to the track in June, 2014 after a thorough refurbishing of the idled venue.
Fans can be sure of at least 16 days of live racing every year. Meets are held on Saturday and Sunday from late June until early August. The facility opens at 11:30am and the first Post time is 1:05. The track is in the process of applying for a simulcast license but it may not be approved in time for the 2014 season.
Off track betting on live simulcast races and Historic Pari-mutuel Racing is available at satellite locations in Cheyenne, Sheridan, Laramie, and Evanston with a Casper parlor expected as well.
