Installing Memory
The computer has one memory slot that is customer-upgradeable from the bottom of the computer. To install memory, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the computer and unplug the AC adapter.
  2. Turn the computer over to access its base.
  3. Slide the battery lock latch to the unlock position.
  4. Slide and hold the battery release latch to the release position (1), then slide out the battery from the main unit (2).
  5. Remove the one screw from the memory door.
  6. Use the flat plastic screwdriver to lift the corner of the memory door.
  7. Carefully lift and remove the memory cover.
  8. Push the memory module clips outwards.
  9. Pull the memory module out.
  10. Slide the memory module into the connector.
  11. Press down until the locking springs click into place.
  12. Replace back cover by first lining up the guide hooks on the top edge.
  13. Press down on the cover to lock all the guide hooks. The cover should be flush with the device.
  14. Secure the memory cover using one screw.
  15. Reinstall the battery pack.
  16. Reconnect the AC adapter.
  17. Turn on the computer.
